16,000 armed forces personnel rehearse for National Day parade

(VOVWORLD) - Nearly 16,000 officers and soldiers from the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security took part in the second rehearsal in Hanoi for the military parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

The event featured a torch procession honoring revolutionary traditions, a national flag-raising ceremony, marching formations from the People’s Army and People’s Public Security forces, and a convoy of military vehicles and specialized police equipment.

“We are truly excited. After three months of training, everyone has worked very hard to fulfill the assigned task. We look forward to the moment we can proudly march on historic Ba Dinh Square on September 2,” said Lieutenant Nguyen Phuong Thanh Thao, a Vietnamese peacekeeper.

The rehearsal also showcased a wide array of modern weapons and military equipment, including many domestically developed products.
