(VOVworld) – The 15th ASEAN Telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) Ministers' Meeting (ASEAN TELMIN 15) closed in Da Nang city on Friday.

The Ministers appreciated efforts to boost the digital economy in ASEAN by developing IT development management policies and a safe transaction framework as well as encouraging innovations through IT awards within ASEAN. They stressed the importance of collective efforts to ensure a safe information technology system in ASEAN and increase communications on cyber security and cooperative activities of the ASEAN  Network Security Action Council. The ministers approved the Da Nang Declaration “Towards a Digitally-enabled, Inclusive, Secure and Sustainable ASEAN Community” and signed a Memorandum of Understanding between ASEAN and the  International Telecommunication Union on cooperation in IT development.
