(VOVworld) - Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan presented the 13th KOVA awards and scholarships on science to outstanding groups and individuals at a ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday. She spoke highly of scientists’ achievements and contributions to the nation and outstanding performance of poor students.

The awards went to authors of 5 scientific studies that have been applied in reality, 6 individuals for their humanitarian activities, and 18 students for their excellent scientific studies. The KOVA awards also gave 100 scholarships, worth 8 million VND each, to poor, studious students.
The annual KOVA award aims to encourage individuals and organizations to get involved in applicable scientific research with high economic benefits and practical impacts on the community.
