This is an annual fund-raising program by the Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans. The program introduces some individuals who are disabled but full of courage. Do Duy Hieu, a former student at the Hanoi University of Natural Sciences, is paralyzed in both legs: “My family is very poor. My family’s pockets were almost empty because of the expenses of medical treatment for me. When I resumed my classes, my parents had to leave their hometown and move to Hanoi to take care of me. I think success requires two key factors: faith and courage.”
The program has raised nearly 1 million USD to support the disabled and orphans.
