(VOVworld) – 11,000 Vietnamese workers who passed Korean language tests in 2011 and 2012 will be sent to work in the Republic of Korea, according to a memorandum of understanding recently signed by the Korean government. Under the MoU, Vietnamese workers who want to work in the RoK again will be given favorable conditions if they are competent in Korean and if they returned to Vietnam on schedule after their 3-year work contract terminated.

Vietnam has sent workers to the RoK under the Employment Permit System (EPS) program since August, 2004. Vietnam has always topped the list of 14 countries sending workers to the RoK. 71,000 Vietnamese laborers are now working in the RoK, accounting for 25% of all guest workers there.
