(VOVworld) - The 10th ASEAN Skills Competition, called “Skills- Our intrinsic values”, opened in Hanoi yesterday. 300 competitors from 10 ASEAN countries will compete in 25 skills.

Addressing the opening ceremony, National Assembly Vice Chair Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stressed the importance of strengthening vocational training to boost the economic recovery and sustainable growth. Ngan said improving workers’ skills will drive the development of ASEAN and each of its members: “I hope this competition will help to define the criteria ASEAN uses to evaluate professional skills- an important factor in the ASEAN Community. Every competitor should deliver the best of their skills, creativity, and passion at this competition”.
