A: Thank you, Mr. Asik, for your detailed comments on our Sunday Show and for all the emails you sent us this week. Your regular feedback has been a source of great encouragement for us to continue to improve our programs.

B: In his email to VOV this week, Vicentiu Gheorghe of Romania wrote: “Thank you very much for letting me know the culture and customs of Vietnam. I will continue to listen to your broadcast and introduce it to my friends. My congratulations to the Vietnamese women's soccer team. I’ve been a VOV English listener for 15 years now. VOV’s “Current Affairs”, news, and “Letter Box” are very important to me. I also like Vietnamese history books and books about President Ho Chi Minh. Vietnam has amazing achievements in infrastructure construction.”

A: Mr. Gheorghe told us he likes the VOV Media app, which provides content produced by all channels of the Voice of Vietnam. He said: “VOV’s English service is a bridge between Vietnam and Romania and other listeners worldwide. We know facts and news about Vietnam. I think VOV deserves to receive awards for its outstanding contributions to delivering Vietnam’s external information to the public.”

B: Thank you, Mr. Gheorghe, for sending feedback on our programs and sharing your love of Vietnam and VOV. We hope to receive your feedback frequently.

B: In his correspondence to VOV this week, Ivan Lebedev of Russia told us about the inauguration of a new Ho Chi Minh statue in St. Petersburg. He wrote: “Hello, friends from Hanoi! On Friday, June 30, in celebration of the centenary of his arrival in Petrograd (the name of St. Petersburg from 1914-1924), a monument of President Ho Chi Minh was erected in our city. It is appropriately located at the intersection of Prospekt Prosveshenia and Ho Chi Minh street in the Vyborg district of St. Petersburg. I was at the monument on Saturday and took a photograph. I’m sending this photo to the English Section of VOV.”

A: Thank you, Mr. Lebedev, for sending us a story about such a great event and the photo. We believe it’s a great honor to witness such an event and hope to receive more feedback from you.

B: Mr. Lebedev shared his interest in Vietnam’s traditional long dress and the graceful beauty of Vietnamese girls, and said he hopes a monument to a Vietnamese woman wearing the traditional costume will become the property of world culture in the future.

A; We hope you can arrange a trip to Vietnam to explore our country. Since you’re interested in Vietnam’s traditional long dress and Vietnamese women, one place we recommend is the Vietnam Women’s Museum.

B: "Top destination", "A museum to see", "This is also interesting for men", "An honest museum"... Those are some of the comments foreign visitors have made after visiting the Vietnam Women’s Museum. It’s a beautiful museum that spotlights Vietnamese women.

A: The Vietnam Women’s Museum is 500m from Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Founded in 1987, the museum researches, preserves, and displays cultural heritages associated with Vietnamese women.

B: It is also a cultural center where Vietnamese and foreign women can exchange cultural activities that promote the equality and development of women. Covering 2000 square meters, the museum has 25,000 documents and artifacts that reflect Vietnamese women’s contributions to history and contemporary life.

A: The 4-story museum is arranged like a history book, and visitors enjoy the exhibits as if turning the pages of a book. Each floor is a chapter of the book containing vivid pictures, documents, and objects that help visitors understand Vietnamese women.

B: In the museum’s lobby on the first floor, is a statue called "Vietnamese mother." This statue won first prize in a sculpture competition organized by the Museum and the Fine Arts Association of Ho Chi Minh City in 1995.

A: The second floor is devoted to permanent exhibitions on the topics of marriage, childbirth, family life, and female figures in history, fashion, cosmetics and jewelry.

B: The 3rd floor reflects Vietnamese women’s contributions to and sacrifices for national independence. Moving depictions of the torture, interrogation, and imprisonment that Vietnamese women suffered during the war show us their courage and indomitable spirit.

A: On the top floor is an exhibit of traditional Vietnamese clothing throughout history. This includes costumes of women of Vietnam’s ethnic minority groups. Audio guides are available in some of the exhibit rooms.

B: The travel website TripAdvisor called the Vietnam Women’s Museum the most exciting place in Hanoi in 2012 and 2013.

B: Sanil Deep of India sent us several reception reports for programs broadcast on the frequencies of 11885khz, 7220khz, and 9840khz. He wrote: “The Saturday music section is one of my favorite programs. The increasing number of letters on the Letter Box shows that your programs are liked by listeners. The Letter Box is maintaining its superior quality in content and presentation by the  hosts. It’s nice to hear that regular listeners are giving comments on the program. Your programs Colorful Vietnam, Personality of the week, and Culture are all well presented. I like the current format of your programs.”

A: Thank you, Sanil Deep, for giving us a detailed reception report and very nice comments on our program. This week Mr. Deep asked about the tallest building in Vietnam.

A: Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City is currently the tallest building in Vietnam, the 2nd tallest in Southeast Asia, and the world's 17th tallest.

B: The designer says the tower's design was inspired by the traditional bamboo bundle which in Vietnamese culture represents strength and unity.
