(VOVWORLD) - UN Vesak Day 2019 will take place from May 12th to the 14th at the Tam Chuc Buddhism Culture Center in Ha Nam province, about 60 km from Hanoi, with the theme “Buddhist Approach to Global Leadership and Shared Responsibilities for Sustainable Societies”.

UN Vesak Day 2019 is a UN international cultural activity to honor humanitarian values and global peace. This year’s Vesak Day will be attended by 1,650 delegates, including top officials of Buddhist organizations and leaders of 112 countries and territories.

The Tam Chuc Spiritual Tourism Complex covers an area of more than 5,000 hectares, with the highlight being a 147-hectare area on the western slope of That Tinh mountain.

This will be the 3rd time Vietnam has hosted UN Vesak Day. The first time was in 2008 at the My Dinh National Convention Center in Hanoi. The 2nd was 5 years ago in the Bai Dinh Pagoda in Ninh Binh province. Vietnam has created good impressions on international friends about its friendly and hospitable people.

The Tam Chuc Pagoda is built on a 144-heatare area together with Ngoc Tower, Tam The Palace, Phap Chu Palace, and Tam Quan (Three-entrance) Gate.
