Hanoi organized activities to celebrate the national holiday, including a gift festival, inauguration of the Son Tay ancient fortress pedestrian zone, and the Ba Vi Festival. The capital city welcomed more than 550,000 visitors, including 2,000 foreigners.

During the 4-day holiday Thue Thien-Hue province attracted 45,000 tourists, including 28,000 people who stayed overnight, filling local hotels almost to capacity.

Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Director of Thua Thien-Hue’s Tourism Department, said the province held the Thuan An Sea Festival, the A Luoi Highlands Festival, the cuisine festival, and a Night at the Royal Citadel.

“Hue city organized multiple activities to celebrate National Reunification Day and International Labor Day.  Since Vietnam reopened tourism, domestic travel has increased, which has given tourism businesses the confidence to invest in new business activities and given related sectors an opportunity to recover,” said Phuc.
