(VOVWORLD) - With the COVID-19 pandemic under control, the demand for workers is increasing in countries like Germany, Japan, and South Korea. This has created opportunities for more Vietnamese to work abroad.

At a recent Youth Employment Session in Hanoi, businesses offered more than 2,500 job opportunities in Vietnam and abroad and 800 opportunities to study abroad. MKH International Study Abroad Company wants to recruit interns in 10 sectors to work in Japan for 1,500-1,800 USD per month. This company also seeks workers to work in Canada for an average of 2,200 USD per month, after taxes and insurance.

Le Ngoc Huu of the Human Resource section of the Yuki International Human Resource and Trade Development Company said that countries now have a high demand for workers.

Huu said: "Recruitment criteria are not much different from previously, but there are more opportunities because the demand is high. Over the past few years, only a small number of Vietnamese workers went to Japan. We intend to send 1,500 to 1,800 workers to Japan this year."

Studying in Germany or Japan is popular with Vietnamese students recently because of the simple procedures to apply. CLC High Quality Manpower Supply JSC is seeking 300 students to study in Germany and 300 in Japan.

To realize the target of sending 90,000 Vietnamese workers overseas this year, the Employment Department of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs is helping workers meet the requirements of employers. 60 job centers nationwide have helped recruit workers for domestic and overseas businesses.

Vu Trong Binh, Director of the Department, said: "We are helping workers find jobs in domestic and overseas businesses. Job centers have joined this effort."
