The four-day fair features the diverse customs, production activities, and lifestyles of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh said: 'The theme "Cultural Tourism" is in response to the State policy of promoting culture as one of the pillars of the economy. At the fair, businesses will debut their new cultural tourism products. A forum will be held to discuss what cultural tourism is all about and ways to promote it. I think cultural tourism will be one of the top priorities in the near future as it will bring great benefits to Vietnam's tourism sector.'

There are 450 booths operated by businesses from 50 Vietnamese provinces and cities and 15 other countries and territories. The 2,500 participating businesses are introducing more than 10,000 tours and promotional programs.

Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Pham Van Thuy said: 'This is a great opportunity to introduce tourists to Vietnam's cultural heritages. Those cultural heritages and their resources will be exploited to create tourism products and promote Vietnamese culture to domestic and foreign visitors.'
