Vietnam honored as World’s Leading Heritage Destination for 4th time

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s beautiful natural landscapes and cultural diversity have won it the title World’s Leading Heritage Destination for 2023, presented by the World Travel Awards at a ceremony in Dubai last Friday.

Vietnam previously won the title World’s Leading Heritage Destination in 2019, 2020, and 2022, surpassing candidates like Egypt, Greece, Japan, the UAE, Brazil, and Armenia.

In addition to beautiful mountains, forests, seas, and islands, Vietnam possesses cultural wonders that have been recognized by UNESCO, and countless historical and cultural relics, traditional festivals, craft villages, rich cuisine, and unique architectural works. All these things attract tourists from all over the world to Vietnam.

Hanoi won the title of World’s Leading City Break Destination, and Phu Quoc island in Kien Giang Province was named the World’s Leading Nature Island Destination.

Moc Chau in Son La province was named the World’s Leading Regional Nature Destination, Ha Nam province the World’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination, and Tam Dao in Vinh Phuc province the World’s Leading Town Destination.

The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism said the title of World’s Leading Heritage Destination and  Vietnam’s efforts to preserve and promote its heritage values will further promote Vietnam’s image to international friends.
