During her visit to Vietnam in July, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said she has seen incredible changes in Vietnam's economic development. Vietnam has become an important player in the world economy and the global supply chain. Yellen said economic dynamism and strong development momentum will help Vietnam achieve its goal of becoming a high-income country by 2045.
Mark Bobo, Executive Vice President of Global Compliance, Sustainability, and Government Affairs for Samtec Company, said Vietnam is a great investment market. Samtec built its first facility in Vietnam in 2017 and is now completing a third one. The Vietnamese government’s open policies have helped Samtec solve business development problems. Samtec is coordinating with Vietnam to find renewable energy and sustainable energy solutions.

Many US businesses have praised Vietnam's rapid development, especially in semiconductor technology, fast-moving consumer goods, furniture, food, banking and financial services, and health care.
Rafael Frankel, Director of Meta Asia-Pacific, said Vietnam stands out with the quality of its human resources. Meta believes in investment opportunities in Vietnam and its bright future. In particular, the Vietnamese Government is effectively pursuing an open economic policy which is an opportunity for Meta and US businesses to contribute to Vietnam's development.
Ted Osius, former US Ambassador to Vietnam and now President and General Director of the US-ASEAN Business Council, said the Vietnamese government has made drastic policy adjustments and created favorable conditions for foreign investors.
He said more US businesses will seek cooperation opportunities in Vietnam in green transformation, innovation, health care, aerospace, and security.
