Tourism booms in coming national holidays

(VOVWORLD) - The upcoming 5-day holiday with the Hung Kings’ Temple Festival, the celebration of the Southern Literation and National Reunification, and May Day from April 29th to May 3rd is a great opportunity for tourism companies. A number of new tours with attractive promotions are being offered.

Travel companies began marketing their tours and services a couple of months ago. Many people have booked tours since March. This year’s travel demand has increased 30% to 40% against last year.

Saigontourist estimates that it will serve about 100,000 customers whose favoritedestinations are the central and central Highlands, Da Nang, and Da Lat. Meanwhile, overseas tours are mainly to Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Singapore.

Vietravelhas prepared to serve 15,000 tourists for inbound and outbound tours. For domestic tourists, tours of beach destinations such as Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, and Phan Thiet are the most popular.

Nguyen Ngoc Tan, Director General of Sacotravel company, said: “Sacotravel company is no longer receiving domestic tour reservations for the coming holidays because our bookings are full. We’ve welcomed a lot of foreign tourists over the past few months, mostly from Europe and the US. This year saw a surge in the number of tourists from India and Northeast Asian countries.”

Many people have decided to take overseas trips for the long holiday. Tran Phuong Linh, Director of Marketing-IT of BenThanh Tourist company, said: “There has been a surge in the number of overseas tours since the beginning of this year. Our customers have booked tours to Europe, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China) and Southeast Asian nations. We have opened new programs and prepared staff to better serve customers.”

Vietnam targets to serve 110 million tourists, including 8 million foreigners this year, to earn28 billion USD.
