Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung said: “Vietnam’s main resource is its innovative youths and students. They promote the strength, potential, and energy to boost our socio-economic development. At Techfest Vietnam 2020, we saw a diversity of innovative ideas from Vietnamese people here and abroad.”
Adapting to modern technology
Techfest Vietnam 2020 demonstrated breakthroughs by the Vietnamese startup community. Many products and ideas generated by startup students, vocational training centers, and inventors received close attention from experts and investors, especially the winners of this year’s startup and intellectual property competitions. For his invention of a new fume treatment system for industrial furnaces, Tran Dinh Giao won a gold medal at the 2020 International Creation and Invention Competition organized by the World Invention Intellectual Property Association.
Giao said: “I will transfer my technology and intellectual property right to poor provinces in the near future.”
Innovative startups are a key to sustainable national development. The success of Techfest Vietnam 2020 has encouraged young Vietnamese entrepreneurs to contribute more to national development.
