In Hanoi, supermarkets have introduced various promotions to stimulate consumer demand, including discounts of up to 45% for household items and garments, discounts of 15-25% on essential items, fresh food, processed food, and spices. Continuing the successful market stabilization programs of past years, Hanoi has coordinated with businesses and agencies to create many promotion programs.

The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade has asked businesses to prepare Tet goods with a total value of nearly 1.7 billion USD to serve the shopping needs of people during Tet.

Tran Thi Phuong Lan, Acting Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, said: "All distribution systems have prepared a sufficient supply of goods and services to meet people's needs during Tet. The products are high quality and have very eye-catching packages."

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade has activated market stabilization programs that involve 45 large enterprises and more than 10,000 sales points. Businesses have prepared goods worth 906 million USD for the periods before, during and after this Lunar New Year in order to avoid shortages and sudden price hikes. Goods offered under the market stabilization program account for 25-43% of the market.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front has coordinated with the supermarket system to organize a "Zero dong booth" program, giving away shopping vouchers worth 12 USD each to 1,200 people in difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Multiple promotions and discounts are also being offered.

Businesses participating in the market stabilization program are committed to keeping prices stable for one month before, during and after Tet. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will closely monitor the prices and market situation in each locality.
