(VOVworld)- The Political Bureau and Secretariat of Party’s Central Committee were the first Party organizations to respond to the Party’s resolution on criticism and self-criticism among Party members.

President Ho Chi Minh, discussing Party building issues, said ideology played an important role in developing Party organization and that high-ranking officials should set an example for other party members to follow.  The Party’s resolution on criticism and self-criticism in Party building is in line with President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching. The resolution is of particular importance during the country’s renovation and integration process, as it plays a decisive role in ensuring the success of the political platform and the goal of socialism building and national defense. Through criticism and self- criticism, the public as well as party members expect more transparency from Party organizations, especially from the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of Party’s Central Committee in addressing social evils, and the deteriorating morality of certain party members. "I praise the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee and the Political Bureau for their strict criticism and self-criticism. In this way, Party organizations can promptly  correct their mistakes and keep problems from becoming more complicated. As a Party member, I have confidence in the Party’s leadership", said Nguyen Xuan Lai, a war veteran in Can Tho city.
Transparency is what the public expects from criticism and self-criticism by Party members. The public hopes to learn more about the strength and weaknesses of their leaders, especially those in the Political Bureau and Secretariat.

President Ho Chi Minh described criticism and self-criticism as oxygen for the party and said that if the Party tries to hide its mistakes, it will be ruined. The Party will become better and stronger if it can learn from and correct its mistakes. "The Party’s resolution meets the people’s aspiration. I really hope the resolution will be carried out strictly and seriously at all levels because the Party leader says that Party building and rectification is of great importance. I hope all Party members will respond to the resolution and increase the public’s trust in the Party", said Tran Hoang Long, a local in Chu Quynh district of Dak Lak province.
HCM’s thoughts on criticism and self-criticism serve as principles for Party building and consolidating the Party. It is also a way for leaders at different levels to gain the trust of the public. "Criticism and self criticism is necessary for any organization to develop. The Politburo has launched the criticism and self-criticism drive within the Party. The country is facing many difficulties and the Party needs to improve its leadership amidst new challenges. Every individual should contribute to developing the Party and the country", said Nguyen Thanh Giam, who lives in Ho Chi Minh city’s District 11.
Criticism and self-criticism plays an important role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of the Party’s leadership. The resolution, which has received strong support from the public, will create favorable conditions for the Party and State to successfully implement policies on national construction and defense.
