Long An's investment promotion strategy in recent years has been focused on directly engaging the international market through business trips, investment promotion conferences, and thorough preparation. The province has also facilitated visits by foreign business delegations to explore and research the local investment environment. Each year, the province sends delegations to key markets such as South Korea, Japan, and the United States.

Long An has established partnerships with Chungcheongnam-do and Yangsan City (South Korea), Hyogo, Ibaraki, and Okayama (Japan), Sacramento (USA), and Leipzig (Germany). It has also coordinated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Trade Counselors to learn about the investment climate of other countries and connect with foreign agencies, associations, and investors.

Tran Van Tuoi, Deputy Director of Long An’s Department of Planning and Investment, said: “It’s important to focus on socio-economic and transportation infrastructure and effectively promoting trade and investment and supporting businesses. These two factors are combined to attract foreign investors. With improved Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), our province has proved we have quality services for investors, land access, thoughtful planning, proactive leadership, open business dialogue, and legal transparency—all of which contribute to making foreign investors feel confident and secure in their investments.”

Long An has focused on planning industrial parks, ranking third nationwide behind Binh Duong and Dong Nai. Major projects are concentrated in high-tech industries, renewable energy, manufacturing, and consumer goods, especially in districts like Ben Luc, Duc Hoa, and Can Giuoc.

The provincial leaders hold regular dialogue conferences with foreign investors, reaffirming Long An’s commitment to supporting them throughout the investment process, from initial research and surveys to project implementation and expansion.
