The Hanoi Department of Tourism has certified 23 food chains, 30 shopping centers, 6 entertainment centers, and one fitness center to service tourists. Their prices, product quality, food safety and hygiene, and environmental sanitation are under strict management.
Shops of the Doji Gold and Gems Group, Vincom Centers, Tan My Design, Lan Huong Fashion, Van Phuc Silk Development Company, and OZ Silk are highlights of Hanoi tourism.
Food chains that are highly recommended for tourists include Quán Ngon, Coco Á, and the food courts in all Vincom Centers.
The Department of Tourism supports certified centers in marketing their products and services to travel and transportation agencies and Vietnamese and foreign tourists. Their names are promoted on the tourism sector’s web portal.
Nguyễn Anh Dũng of the Hanoi Department of Tourism said: “We’ll survey tourism sites in Hanoi and recommend a list of places to receive further investment to help them improve their products and services. The Tourism Department has received approval for this initiative from the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee.”
Hanoi will host a number of big events this year and has asked travel companies, shopping centers, and restaurants to improve and diversify their services. Hanoi wants to make tourism a spearhead economic sector with modern infrastructure and high-quality products that reflect Vietnam’s cultural identity.
