Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung said: “Connectivity is very important to the startup ecosystem. The debut of a startup connect portal at Techfest 2017 will be a landmark. The portal will provide data on connectivity activities, technological transfers in Vietnam, and lists of incubators and investors. Administrative procedures, legal frameworks, and guidance for startups will also be posted on the portal.”
A wide range of activities will be organized in 6 different areas at the festival: Community village, Agritech village, EdTech village, MedTech village, Tourism and Food & Beverage village, Emerging Tech village, and Frontier and Fin Tech village. Each village will develop its own program to attract startups, investors, speakers, and consultants. Mr. Tung said: “Startup businesses need to be trained by successful businesses and experts. Investors also need skills. Startup businesses need skills to develop and manage their business and market their products. They need to make money from the market and mobilize resources from investment funds to grow.”
Tung said he believed Techfest 2017 will be a destination for investors, startups and stakeholders.
