Ngoc made the call at the Humanitarian Month 2024 event launched on Sunday by the provincial Red Cross Society under the theme "Humanitarian journey - Giving and receiving love” and in response to the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, May 8.

According to the provincial Red Cross Society, Soc Trang aims to support 1,000 to 1,200 people in difficult circumstances during this year's humanitarian month of May.

In addition, Red Cross associations at all levels plan to mobilize financial support for disadvantaged cases through direct assistance models or organization of the “Zero-dong humanitarian markets”.

At the launch, the organizing committee, agencies, and benefactors presented gifts to poor households and Agent Orange victims, and scholarships to disadvantaged pupils and students.
