Speaking at a press conference announcing the “Sustainable Agricultural Value Chain Development Strategy for 2026-2036” in Hanoi, Deputy Minister Tien emphasized that Vietnam has a favorable environment for attracting investment, particularly through cooperation between foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises and domestic companies.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is committed to helping businesses, cooperatives and farmers remove obstacles and ensure balanced benefits and sustainable development, he noted.

Tien said: "The development of the agricultural sector and livestock production will be promoted under the strategy where the State will provide the framework, scientists will lead innovation, enterprises compete and invest, and farmers ultimately benefit. Vietnam has already introduced the Livestock Law and related decrees, along with five key programs under the Livestock Development Strategy for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045. Large-scale enterprises with advanced technologies will be prioritized. We will also continue helping businesses in resolving administrative procedures and promoting investment."

De Heus of the Netherlands and Vietnam’s Hung Nhon Group, which co-organized the press conference, now have 15 projects currently being implemented in Tay Ninh province and the Central Highlands, aiming to establish large-scale, industrialized livestock production zones.
