At the same time, Israel continued to impose strict control over the delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza, further worsening the humanitarian crisis.

According to the latest reports from Palestinian media, eight people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house in northwest Gaza City on Tuesday night. Earlier the same day, Palestinian and regional media reported that 15 people were killed in Israeli attacks across multiple areas in the Gaza Strip.

In addition to direct casualties from airstrikes and ground assaults, dozens of deaths have been reported due to starvation, including many children.

Speaking before the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said that the scale of death and destruction in Gaza is unprecedented in recent years.

On July 20, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) also warned that the entire population of Gaza including over 1 million children is facing starvation.
