At the banquet held by the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi on Thursday, Minh stressed that in the current global context, both countries and their Parties are dealing with new opportunities and challenges in renewal and nation-building. They both need the external environment to be peaceful, stable and cooperative. In 2015, the two countries should continue to implement agreements and common perceptions reached between their senior leaders, while ceaselessly deepening bilateral relations for the sake of the two peoples, and practically contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiao Yong reviewed for his guests the achievements of the two nations over the last 65 years, especially after establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2008.
The same day, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho hosted a banquet in Beijing marking the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties.
