The three leaders agreed to enhance cooperation within the framework of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle and the Mekong sub-region and build a blueprint for connecting the three economies. They underlined the importance of attracting financial and technical resources for sub-regional projects. They also agreed to strengthen cooperative ties to maintain border security and promote trade, investment, and border connectivity, while affirming a resolve to make the shared border an area of peace, friendship, and development. The three prime ministers agreed to coordinate closely at regional and international forums and promote the building of a united and resilient ASEAN.

Also on Sunday, Prime Minister Phuc met with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to discuss measures to reinforce bilateral relations and cooperation at multilateral forums.
