The Phu Yen Culture-Tourism Week 2024 opens on March 30, 2024, as the central province aims to become a national and regional tourism center.

Highlights of the program include a fair promoting OCOP, culinary, and tourism products; a music competition; and performances featuring local intangible cultural heritage.

Various programs and activities are also taking place in localities throughout the province, such said Dao My, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee of Phu Yen province. as Bai Choi performances, boat racing, an introduction of dishes made from tuna, and a photo contest.

"With the theme 'Exploring Phu Yen's Heritage,' we aim to turn this event into a large-scale cultural and tourism program; create distinctive tourism products; and preserve, promote, and use Phu Yen's heritage sustainably, responsibly, and effectively," said Dao My, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee of Phu Yen province. 

Under a strategy to develop Vietnam’s tourism until 2020 with a vision to 2030, the southcentral coastal region will become a key tourism destination with marine tourism coupled with the marine cultural space and ecology as the highlight. In particular, Phu Yen will be developed into a national and regional tourism center.

The Phu Yen Culture-Tourism Week 2024 will run until next Friday.
