Mr. Cuong told a press conference in Hanoi on Sunday that the State President and the NA Chairperson will be elected at the session, and the process is expected to be completed on Wednesday morning.

As competent agencies have not yet nominated personnel for the post of the Minister of Public Security, the legislature will not work on this position at the meeting, he added.

During the session, which will be divided into two phases, lawmakers are scheduled to approve 10 draft laws and three draft resolutions.

They will also discuss 11 draft laws, along with issues regarding socio-economic development, the State budget, oversight, and others.

The opening session will be broadcast live on national radio and television channels, and the legislature’s TV channel.
