Kim Son's sedge weaving dates back hundreds of years and the craft requires an elaborate, creative process of work, from choosing, drying, and dyeing the sedge for a bright and durable red color. The artisan also needs to be quick and flexible while working with high precision.

Apart from sedge mats, skilled workers in Kim Son also create other valuable unique products such as hats, sandals, boxes, and cups.

Kim Son products have been exported to more than 20 countries and territories as they are made of natural and environmentally friendly materials with diverse colors and patterns.
