The Sada el-Balad television reported that negotiators in Cairo have made progress on the technical aspects of a potential deal. But according to some sources participating in the negotiations, the parties still need time to agree on specific details before reaching a final ceasefire deal.

Another high-ranking source confirmed to Egypt's Al-Qahera News TV channel that the Egyptian security delegation participated in the talks to help Hamas and Israel reach "consensus" on various points of disagreement.
