Speaking during his weekly press conference, Al Ansari noted that recent weeks have seen the resolution of key obstacles to an agreement between Israel and Hamas on a ceasefire and hostage exchange. He stated, “This is the closest to reaching an agreement” after months of diplomatic efforts. Qatar has shared draft agreements with both parties for review.

Al Ansari expressed confidence that a ceasefire could be implemented “immediately” once an agreement is finalized. While no specific timeline has been set, negotiations are progressing intensively to secure the deal.
