PM made the request during Sunday’s working session with the Standing Board of the Lao Cai provincial Party Committee on this year’s socio-economic performance and tasks for next year. 

Mr. Chinh highlighted Lao Cai’s advantages, including a long border with China, multiple modes of transportation, a strategic position on the Kunming-Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh economic corridor, and well-known landscapes and tourist attractions.

Lao Cai has favorable conditions to become a growth center for the northern region, he said. The PM urged the province to adopt mechanisms and policies to mobilize resources for development and improve its efficiency in attracting and using investment capital, especially foreign direct investment and public-private partnerships.
