Mr. Lam’s first visit to Singapore as the Vietnamese Party leader marks a new milestone in bilateral relations.

Upon his arrival, the Party leader received representatives of major Singaporean businesses including Shangri – La Healthcare Invesment, Temasek, SembCorp, Keppel, and CMIA Capital Partners. General Secretary Lam also attended a ceremony to launch Vietjet’s direct air route linking Singapore and Vietnam’s resort island of Phu Quoc.

As of October last year, Singapore ranked second among foreign investors in Vietnam, with more than 3,800 valid projects totaling 81 billion USD.

The Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIPs) are a symbol of economic cooperation between the two countries. 18 VSIPs have been established across Vietnam, the largest number of IPs developed by Singapore globally.
