At the recent ceremony announcing the Tourism Development Strategy of Khanh Hoa province for the 2026–2030 period, with a vision to 2045, Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, said the province seeks to gradually consolidate its position as a representative destination of Southeast Asia, built around a “highly recognizable brand and a unified tourism ecosystem.”
By 2030, the province targets approximately 100,000 tourist accommodation rooms; total tourism revenue of about USD 9 billion; 33 million overnight visitors (with international visitors accounting for 40–45%); and more than 300,000 jobs generated by the tourism sector.
To achieve these goals, the province identifies six key groups of solutions to develop Khánh Hòa into a standout destination with a strong tourism brand, enhance connectivity and accessibility, elevate visitor experiences, ensure financial resources; and strengthen smart governance.
The strategy underscores the importance of digital and green transformation, modern destination management, the development of the night-time economy, and iconic tourism products linked to cultural and heritage values such as bird’s nest products, agarwood, Cham culture, and the Kate Festival, contributing to a distinct identity for the province’s tourism sector.
