The statement was made by Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in a post on the social media platform X. Larijani said he had received reports that multiple US soldiers had been taken prisoner, adding that although the US administration has firmly denied the claim, “the truth will eventually come to light.” However, he did not specify when, where, or under what circumstances the alleged captures occurred.
In another notable development, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released a statement asserting that the country has the capability to maintain a high-intensity conflict with the US and Israel for at least another six months.
IRGC spokesperson Ali Mohammad Naini said that since the start of the conflict, the force has launched strikes on more than 200 locations linked to US and Israeli bases and facilities across the region.
