That’s what the American people deserve. Campaigns are a contest of competing visions. A country chooses one or the other. We accept the choice the country made. I will fulfill my oath, and I will honor the Constitution. On January 20, we'll have a peaceful transfer of power here in America,” Biden said.

Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, has accepted defeat and pledged to participate in a peaceful transition process.

The Electoral College will meet and cast their votes on December 17. The result of the electoral votes will be announced on January 6. If nothing changes, Trump will be sworn in on January 20.
