Upon docking at Da Nang Port, the officials and sailors paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the municipal People’s Committee and the military commands. The French frigate’s crew took part in exercises with Vietnam’s Coast Guard.

The crew engaged in a friendly volleyball competition with Vietnamese naval officers, and visited a number of stunning landscapes throughout Da Nang and Thua Thien-Hue province.

The Vendemiaire is a Floreal-class frigate, measuring 93 meters in length and accommodating a crew of approximately 100 members along with a Dauphin-type helicopter.

On Wednesday Da Nang City leaders received Ambassador of France to Vietnam Olivier Brochet. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee, suggested strengthening seaport cooperation with France

“Da Nang hopes that the Ambassador, in his position, will try to create conditions for Da Nang to connect with French localities and partners to strengthen cooperation and friendship. We hope that the Ambassador will influence French partners to come to learn about Da Nang’s tourism and seaport and enhance cultural exchanges between our city and French localities,” Cuong said.
