Co To currently attracts many domestic and foreign tourists. Bach Long Vi is working to become a logistics center for fishing and search and rescue in the Northern region. The two island districts have agreed to strengthen cooperation to develop their marine economy, and tourism, conduct search and rescue operations, and ensure national defense. Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Secretary of the Co To district Party Committee, and Chairman of the Co To district People's Committee, said: "We will work together to implement the guidelines of the Party Central Committee, Quang Ninh province, and Hai Phong city to protect national security and ensure sustainable socio-economic development. We want to share our experience in tourism development. In recent years, Co To people have been very successful in developing community-based tourism." 

In the near future, the two island districts will coordinate in medical examinations and treatment and establish sea routes to promote trade, tourism, and other services.
