The press conference introduces the art program “Strong and rich from the national sea” in Khanh Hoa province.

The program, co‑organized by the Voice of Vietnam, the Party Central Committee’s Communication and Education Commission, the General Politics Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, and Khanh Hoa province, reviews the implementation of the 13th National Party Congress’s Resolution on seas and islands and the 5-year implementation of the Party Resolution on sustainable development of Vietnam’s marine economy to 2023, with a vision to 2045.

The program has gathered 1,500 performers who staff the navy, border, and coast guard forces, fishermen, and students in Khanh Hoa province.

VOV’s Vice President Pham Manh Hung told a press conference on Wednesday that the art program affirms Vietnam’s determination to subdue and prosper from the sea, while maintaining peace in order to kindle national pride and self-esteem. This includes reinforcing the nation’s will to protect national sovereignty of its sea and islands, and raise the awareness of marine biodiversity preservation and promotion.

“We have carefully prepared for the art program. We believe that the program will pervade the love and pride for national seas and islands and raise a sense of responsibility to promote, exploit, and preserve the seas for national development.”
