Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah on Tuesday expressed regret over the US President’s action and said Kuwait considers the Golan Heights part of Syria. The Bahrain Foreign Ministry said Bahrain reaffirms its position that the Golan Heights are Arab Syrian territory occupied by Israel since June 1967. The Ministry said the US action harms efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East. Qatar, Palestine, and Iran expressed their support for Syria’s Golan Heights sovereignty.
Even US allies, including France, Germany, Britain, Poland, and Belgium, protested the US decision and said they don't recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights. They warned that the US move could have serious consequences.
