Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam Hoang Dao Cuong addresses the event.

In his opening remarks at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam Hoang Dao Cuong underscored the great significance of the cultural event in marking the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, as well as Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Year 2022.

Vietnam would like to introduce Cambodian people and international friends to its distinctive cultural identity through performances of folk songs, dances, folk music, and classical ballet, he said.

Furthermore, a photo exhibition showcasing Vietnamese culture and education and UNESCO-recognized heritage sites in Vietnam was also getting underway during the event

According to schedule, Vietnamese Culture Week in Cambodia will be taking place until Sunday in the cities of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
