Vietnamese businesses invested abroad in a total of 14 industries throughout the reviewed period. The processing and manufacturing industry took the lead with 236 million USD, followed by real estate, mining, wholesale, and retail.

Vietnamese investments were largely channeled into 27 countries and territories, with Singapore becoming the largest recipient at nearly 79.5 million USD, followed by Laos, the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands.
