Speaking at a meeting on Wednesday with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, who is on an official visit to Vietnam, Prime Minister Chinh said it’s important to effectively implement the Action Program on the Vietnam-Thailand Enhanced Strategic Partnership in the 2022-2027 period and promote the signing of cooperation agreements in security, justice, agriculture, labor, and maritime.
He said Thailand continues to be Vietnam’s largest partner ion ASEAN and the 9th biggest investor in Vietnam. He asked the Thai government to create conditions for the Vietnamese community in Thailand and affirmed that Vietnam is ready to create conditions to Thailand’s airlines to open new routes between the two countries in the coming time.
The Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister agreed to strengthen coordination and information exchange in fighting terrorist organizations and not to allow any individual or organization to use the territory of one country to oppose another country.
Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara agreed to coordinate with Vietnam in the Mekong sub-region development cooperation and sustainable management and use of Mekong River water resources.
He affirmed that Thailand will continue to cooperate with Vietnam and ASEAN countries to promote ASEAN's solidarity, central role and common viewpoint, especially on important issues such as the East Sea issue.
The same day Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Foreign Affairs Commission received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara.
