Binh said the HCM Communist Youth Union would work with their Chinese counterparts to organize the 3rd Vietnam-China Youth Festival from November 7 to 10 in Vietnam. Binh said the event was aimed at fostering friendship and increase mutual understanding and trust between the two countries’ younger generations thus deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership.

The spokesperson also said the Director of the US Peace Corps, Carrie Hessler Radelet, will visit Vietnam from October 31 to November 4 to discuss the implementation of the Framework Agreement on the Peace Corps Program in Vietnam. The agreement was signed during President Barack Obama’s visit to Vietnam in May 2016.
