Vietnam has signed eight of nine international multilateral treaties and 17 trade agreements on copyright and related rights.

Pham Thi Kim Oanh, Deputy Director of the Copyright Office of Vietnam at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the digital environment poses challenges to copyright protection and enforcement.

"We must find a way to improve copyright protection in the digital environment and work to perfect a legal framework that protects copyright and promotes creativity," Oanh added.
