Exports to key markets like the US, the EU, China, Japan, and South Korea achieved the highest sales. The US returned to its position as Vietnam's largest seafood import market.
However, in the first 5 months of this year, Vietnam's seafood exports totaled 3.4 billion USD, down 28% from the same period in 2022, due to a decrease in demand in major markets due to inflation and high interest rates.
In the first half of June, seafood exports totaled 344 million USD, bringing the export value as of mid-June to more than 3.7 billion USD.
