(VOVworld) - Thousands of people on Saturday took to the streets of Stratford-upon-Avon, William Shakespeare’s birthplace, to mark his 400th death anniversary.

Participants wore characters' costumes and masks adorned with Shakespeare's face.
The same day in London, the Globe Theater’s actors replicated Shakespeare’s famous Hamlet which has been played by the theater’s artists in nearly 190 countries over the past two years.
