Second in-person hearing for Trump’s case set for December 4

(VOVWORLD) -  Former US President Donald Trump was charged by a New York grand jury with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in an indictment unsealed Tuesday, with prosecutors detailing an alleged years-long scheme to use “hush money” payments to suppress damaging information before the 2016 election.

Trump has become the first former president to face criminal charges. He has not admitted any crime.

The next in-person hearing date for Trump’s case in New York is currently set for December 4, roughly two months before the official start of the 2024 Republican presidential primary calendar.
