President Thuong on Wednesday chaired a National Conference reviewing 5 years of implementing Resolution No.35 on "Strengthening the protection of ideological foundation of the Party, fighting against wrong and hostile views in the new situation".

He told the conference that in the past 5 years the awareness of Party organizations, officials, and party members about the role, position, and importance of defending the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against wrong views has seen vivid and positive changes.

Information dissemination has improved in terms of content, format, and method of expression, promoted the information-leading role of media agencies, especially on the internet and social networks, and promptly spread the Party's guidelines, State policies, positive information, and national achievements in all fields.

The results of Resolution implementation have made an important contribution to maintaining political stability, security, social order and safety, and strengthening people's trust, President Thuong said.
