At the meeting, Mr. Trong expressed his pleasure over the new developments in relations between the two parties and the two countries, in which the relationship between Guangxi and the border localities of Vietnam has flourished since the official visit to China in October 2022 by the Party General Secretary.

He suggested that Guangxi and Vietnam's border provinces promote the spirit of pioneering in economic-trade cooperation and cooperation in tourism, security, and defense, and people-to-people exchanges to jointly build a border of peace and friendship.

Mr. Liu affirmed that Guangxi will continue to effectively coordinate with Vietnamese localities to thoroughly grasp and well implement the common perceptions and important agreements between the two Party General Secretaries.

He pledged to strengthen friendly exchanges of all levels and local sectors of the two sides, promote substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation, especially in economy, trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges to jointly build a high-quality, peaceful and friendly border.
