Thai PBS World, an online English news website of the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS), was one of the earliest to report on the visit. Titled "Vietnam’s House speaker to visit Thailand," the article published on Sunday wrote that during Mr. Hue's stay in Bangkok, the two sides are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding to further enhance the cooperation between their legislative branches. The two law-making bodies are seeking to strengthen exchanges of high-level visits as well as between their specialized committees.

Bangkok Post’s Tuesday article titled "Ripe time to boost Thai-Vietnamese ties", stated that Thailand-Vietnam relations have experienced long history from the 12th century. It said the four-day visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will take place at a high time when the two countries are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership (2013-2023) and are aiming to enhance their relationship next year.

The article commented the two sides will discuss and agree on measures to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields, from politics-diplomacy, economics-trade-investment to security and defense.

Chairman Hue will inaugurate the Vietnam Town project in Udon Thani province, the Bangkok Post said, believing that the project affirms the significant contributions of the Vietnamese community to Thailand’s economic and social development.
